Great question—they’re actually the same place! Kamuela is the official postal name for the town of Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. Locals use both names interchangeably.

Our condo is located in the Golf Villas at Mauna Lani, which sit just outside of Waimea in the sunny, resort-side stretch of the Kohala Coast. So whether you’re searching for a Kamuela vacation rental or exploring Waimea Big Island rentals, you're in the right place.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM onwards, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need flexibility with your times, feel free to reach out to us directly, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We love animals! However, currently, pets are not allowed in Golf Villa properties.

Our Big Island vacation home is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi, linens, towels, a hot tub, a pro-grade outdoor grill, and beach gear. Yes! We offer high-speed WiFi (up to speeds of 1Gbps) for your convenience. Most mobile networks have decent reception on the Big Island; however, please note that service can be spotty in some areas of the island such as in the Volcanic National Park or on the Mauna Kea Summit.

Yes! Air conditioning is available in Birdies & Beach. However, the Big Island is known for its steady breeze, so we encourage guests to try going island-style by opening windows and using screen doors to allow natural airflow to keep the unit cool. Our AC’s easy-to-use digital controls will allow you to use the air conditioner on warmer days. Your comfort is our first priority.

Local shops and restaurants are a short drive away. We provide recommendations for dining, grocery shopping, and nearby attractions upon request for our guests. Making reservations in advance is a good idea, especially in high season.

We have a flexible cancellation policy. Please check the booking platform (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) for specific terms, or feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding cancellations.
